Principal Message

Evergreen Principal Diana Dix

I hope this finds you and your family well. We are gearing up for our hybrid schedule on campus.  So you will see some new markings on campus and in the classroom to support our students safe return.  For our students returning – students will primarily in the classroom across the day with many opportunities for movement within the classroom in a structured format.  At this time, we are not having visitors on campus helping students transition to the classroom – we will have campus staff support students entrance into the building and classroom. We are also starting a Walking Club – I wonder who will get the first mile – then 10 miles and we might even have some students who will reach the 50 and 100-mile mark by end of the trimester.  Our character trait for the month of October is perseverance!  That word has truly taken on a different focus as we journey through our new mode of learning this year. Parents/Guardians and Childcare workers - We appreciate you more than ever as we begin this learning partnership this year.

Some questions you may have:

What is hybrid – that is half the student roster on campus learning while the other half are online working on assignments, Freckle, Zearn, RAZ, IXL.  Each classroom has been set up to ensure students are seated with social distancing guidelines in place.

What if we are moving?  Call Mrs. Brost at 253-583-5250 and let her know when your students last day of remote learning and the process for returning school items.  The school your student will be enrolling in can email/fax request for records so that can all be done digitally for the student/family.

Every question is a GREAT question – some we can answer quickly and others may take some time to research to get the answer so thank you for your patience.
