Principal Message

Evergreen Principal Diana Dix

Welcome as we begin our final leg of the race for the 2018-2019 school. Just like a real race this is the time to take an extra breath and push on to greatness – we are celebrating students showing what they know and encouraging them each day. Our College conversations is around college acceptance – this month students will be writing about how they are ready for the next step in their journey and moving on to the next grade level. This month we are focused on Responsibility. Responsibility means others trust you to do things that you say you’re going to do. You are accountable for your actions. When you make a mistake, you offer to make amends instead of blaming others or making excused. There are many learning activities students are sharing in at school – parents you can also help at home by logging in with your parent login. If you haven’t gotten your Cloud9 login – email the teacher for the login information. Thank you for sharing your students with us as we continue our journey of learning this year with the vision on college-bound.

Breakfast begins at 7:15 and ends at 7:35. If students have eaten breakfast at home, they have special seating (round tables) when they arrive around 7:30. We have our Pledge and morning meeting at 7:35 then students transition to class. End of day is 2:15 – students will be dismissed and route to the bus loop then the remaining students head to the covered area for dismissal to walk, ride bikes or get picked up by parents or designated adult.

Lost and Found is filling up quickly – if your student is missing coat, hat or gloves…please come by and check out the lost and found cart. All items will be donated after Field Day.

Please drive carefully on Blaine and turning into 6th avenue – lots of children are walking and may not be as aware of cars. Thank you for keeping all kids safe!
